The quaint village of Skipton has been revealed as the next filming location for new Harry Potter series.
It seems like Skipton may see a boom in tourism at the end of this month, as a highly anticipated new series has recently begun filming there.
The filming has kicked off today, Thursday 21 October, for the upcoming HBO Max Harry Potter series and was revealed on a Harry Potter Facebook fan page called “Harry Potter & Fantastic Beasts Fans Magic”.
One fan commented on the post saying “Wow they really are shooting all over. Exciting stuff”, while another tagged their mate and said, “road trip??”.

Another fan commented: “I live in the village next door and I would love to nip by and see if I could get a glimpse of them filming” whilst another said “Surely the leaky couldren isn’t in skipton? Trying to think of what other possible building location it could be unless they have added a Hermione part?”.
Skipton Council has seemingly confirmed the dates, after local news pages reported that multiple roads in the village have been shut between the Sunday 19 to Wednesday 22 October in preparation for the production.

Filming locations could include the famous castle and picturesque waterway, as well as the surrounding Yorkshire Dales.
And hey, if it’s good enough for Rosie and Jim then it’s good enough for Harry, Ron and Hermione.
So if you see anyone knocking around Skipton in a cloak and waving a wand around, try not to be too alarmed.
