The London-born pizzeria is expanding, and Leeds is lucky enough to be its next stop.
Yes, we know what you’re thinking…another pizza restaurant? And the answer is – absolutely.
Pizza Pilgrims is a popular London restaurant chain who have announced they’ll be opening up their next site in our beloved city of Leeds.
Their new restaurant will be opening in the heart of the city, slap bang on Boar Lane in the former Beer Hawk site on Monday 13 November 2023.
And the best part is, ahead of the highly anticipated launch they’ll be giving away 1,000 free pizza slices to customers from 12pm on Monday 6 November.
All you have to do is turn up and get munching on the delicious, doughy goodness that the Pizza Pilgrims will be handing out so you can have a taste of what’s to come.
Known for their classic Neapolitan-style pizza approach, expect fluffy ‘bready’ bases, slightly charred for that authentic taste, dusted off with fresh tomato marinara sauce and mozzarella – each paired with a different combination of toppings.
The new pizzeria will resemble a Naples piazza scene complete with double height ceilings, shuttered windows, Juliette balconies and no less than a self-serve gelato stand in the centre of the restaurant for customers to create their own sweet treats.
Founder James Elliot spoke about the opening: “My first job in pizza was 15 years ago at an Italian restaurant called Salvo’s in Headingley whilst at uni and it’s great to be back!
“We’re creating a really fun space that will transport people to a holiday in the south of Italy. Pizza is all about fun and so we are excited to be building our most fun pizzeria yet!”
