You can tuck into a selection of cheeses while hanging off a cliff in the Yorkshire Dales

Cheddar gorge? More like Howstean Gorge.

There’s a dining experience set in the Yorkshire Dales where you can feast on your favourite cheeses while hanging off a cliff.

Love cheese? Love heights? Then have we just found the perfect dining experience for you and it’s right on the doorstep, nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

‘Ledge ’n Dairy’ is the ultimate dining experience at Howstean Gorge in Harrogate and offers you the chance to hang off a cliff for an hour while sampling some incredible cheeses.

Included in your experience is a handcrafted cheeseboard for two, private ledge table and even a hot or soft drink per person.

The handcrafted cheese board will feature a variety of locally-sourced Yorkshire cheeses alongside crackers, chutney and even some fruit.

To pair with your dairy delights and accompaniments, you can enjoy a lovely soft drink or even stick to what you know best and order a good old cuppa.

Whether you’re a cheese connoisseur or a thrill-seeker who’s always wanted to defy gravity, this unique opportunity would be the perfect way to switch up your usual routine.

While dining, you’ll be suspended 40 feet in the air, supported by ropes and fully-equipped with all your abseiling needs like a chest protection and the most essential item; a trusty helmet.

As well as tasting the foodie wonders that the Yorkshire cheesemongers have to offer, you’ll also be able to take in some absolutely gorgeous views of the Howstean Gorge landscape.

The organisers have one rule in mind when attending this event and that is to make sure you dress for the weather – this mid-air cheese-tasting is taking place in Yorkshire after all.
