The beloved Thai tapas spot will be taking over the former Royal Bank of Scotland site on Park Row.
It was announced back in April last year that the Giggling Squid put in an application to take over the spot, but almost a year later it has now been confirmed.
The Giggling Squid will be opening its doors on Monday 7 April and we’re sure it’s going to go down a treat.
Founded in 2002 in Brighton, the Giggling Squid has expanded rapidly in recent years now with more than 50 restaurants operating across the country.
The chain is known for it’s beautiful and vibrant decor, as well as bold and flavourful dishes inspired by the rich landscape of Thailand.
The restaurant already has a site in Harrogate on John Street, which is extremely busy and boasts fantastic reviews on Google.
Guests can expect a menu full of rich Thai flavours, from your classic Pad Thai to salt and pepper squid as well as warming curries to suit every spice level.
The best part? To celebrate the opening week, the Giggling Squid will be offering here 50 per cent off all food for pre-booked guests.
The team at Giggling Squid said: “We can’t wait to fit out our new restaurant, we’ll be installing banquettes, hanging our stunning wallpaper, adding floral details.
“The team are also getting ready and can’t wait to throw open the doors and welcome our new guests.”
