There’s not much that goes better with a couple of beers than a big old plate of chicken wings. Our mid-week drinks have just become a whole lot more affordable, thanks to Yard and Coop.
The fried chicken heroes have just had to spend a week away – but now they’re back with more buttermilk chicken wings than you could shake a drumstick at. And did we mention they’re only 10p?
You can have yours wet or dry, with options to upgrade to saucy BBQ or ‘Bees knees’ cayenne, lime and honey wings priced from 20p.
Or, if you want to go all out, drop 30p on their beer-infused ‘Big Guys Thiccc Sauce’.
Of course, there’s loads more on offer to enjoy here too – think fried chicken every way, loaded skin-on fries, and hot sides like their epic mac and cheese balls.
They even do a fried chicken roast dinner, complete with Yorkshire puddings filled to the brim with chicken gravy. It’s not just chicken wings.
The fried chicken restaurant is a relatively new addition to Leeds, having only just opened a permanent site in the city this spring.
Prior to that, they spent a year trading out of a dark kitchen – but now they’ve settled in the former Miah’s kitchen site on Merrion street.
Over the years, the Yard and Coop team has perfected its chicken technique: trying a lot of marinades and frying up a “shed load” of crumbs. So we can say with some certainty these aren’t going to be any old cheap chicken wings, they’re much more special than that.
The brand first started in Manchester and is well respected over there as one of the finest places for buttermilk fried chicken in the city. Now, they’re making their mark on West Yorkshire.
Head down to Merrion Street to try their 10p chicken wing deal, available all day every day throughout the week.
