Take the plunge into Pieminister’s steaming hot gravy fondue where you can dunk a whole range of delicious dippers into flavoursome, rich gravy.
If there’s one thing us Northerners love, it’s gravy.
Whether its smothered on your Yorkshire puds or acting as a dipping sauce for your chunky chips, we will find a way to put that sweet nectar on pretty much anything.
So when we heard that Pieminister on Duncan Street were serving up hot gravy fondues, we couldn’t quite believe our luck.
But what exactly is a gravy fondue you might ask? Well, it’s basically a huge steaming pot of thick, savoury gravy which you can dip a range of delicious dippers into.
We’re talking free range British honey and mustard sausages, crispy parsnip and kale fritters, onion rings, potato fries, halloumi fries, pork scratchings and so much more.
It’s perfect for a group of gravy-loving friends or family who fancy mixing up their traditional gravy slurping tendencies.
And of course you can’t go to Pieminister without indulging in one of their epic, award-wining pies.
From their Kate & Sidney pie which is filled to the brim with British beef steak, kidney and ale to their Wild Shroom which features portobello and chestnut mushrooms, asparagus and white wine.
There’s also a huge range of pies for veggies out there including the Mock a Doodle with Tofu ‘chicken’ and the Mooless Moo which has Jackfruit ‘steak’, craft ale and black pepper.
The gravy fondue is the perfect way to kickstart your meal or just on it’s own if you quickly need that gravy fix.
The gravy fondue costs £15 and that includes three dipping vehicles of your choice. To find out more and to book your table, take a look at Pieminister’s website.
Happy dunking!
