An exciting new stage show inspired by the best selling will be coming to the Leeds Playhouse early next year.
What started off as an iconic Sunday Times bestseller by Deborah Moggach, soon became one of the century’s most treasured blockbusters featuring powerhouses Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel takes us on a journey to India with an eclectic group of British retirees as they embark on a new life. It is a joyous and life fulfilling comedy that explores taking risks, finding love and embracing second chances.
The ‘luxury’ residence they find themselves in is far from the opulence they were promised, but as their lives begin to intertwine, they are charmed in unexpected and life-changing ways.
The stage adaptation will be coming to The Quarry Theatre inside the Leeds Playhouse from Tuesday 14 February to Saturday 18 February 2023.

The production features a whole list of star studded performers, featuring the icon of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe-Award winner, Hayley Mills, household favourite and screen and stage star Paul Nicholas and Rula Lenska.
After being a resounding success on the West End, the production has set off on a full UK tour hitting cities such as Newcastle, Bath and Nottingham before taking to the stage in Leeds.
It is a production that is set to leave a smile across your face, a beaming comedy that the whole family can enjoy.
Tickets for The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel start from £14 and go up to £32, they are already on sale and can be booked here on the Leeds Playhouse website.
