A family-run Korean street food cafe has just opened in Kirkgate Market

That’s lunch sorted.

Kirkgate Market is already full of gems, but they’ve just gained another one.

Introducing Seoulful Bites, a wonderful, authentic family-run Korean street food cafe that has just opened its doors inside the Leeds’ iconic Kirkgate Market.

Here you’ll find all the street food classics that are commonly enjoyed on the bustling streets of Seoul.

If you fancy something hot they’ve got steaming bowls of Tteok-Boki which are a type of chewy rice cake mixed in a spicy spice, it’s a proper winter warmer and one you’ll crave time and time again. The texture of the rice cakes is so moreish, trust us.

They’re also serving up fish cake soup and Korean Shin Ramen which you can top off with your choice of goodies from marinated beef and boiled eggs to kimchi and luncheon spam.

If you want to keep it light, they’re of course selling fresh classic kimbap which you can watch be rolled right in front of your eyes.

There’s also sides like cheese fries and mini seaweed rolls if you just fancy a snack.

Oh, and to top it all off there’s also some traditional Korean desserts on offer if you’ve got a sweet tooth like this adorable fish-shaped red bean pastry. Almost too cute to eat (emphases on the word almost).

It’s more important now than ever to support our local independent businesses, so make sure to swing by the market and welcome Seoulful Bites to the city.

You can find them just outside of the main food court area inside unit 239.
