It’s been announced that a giant Yorkshire pudding event is coming to Leeds this summer and we are beyond excited about it.
Set to take place just outside the city in Bedale, it might possibly be the best food festival to take place in Leeds of all time.
Festival creator, Ben, has been filling his Yorkshire Puddings with all sorts of fillings, from mini roast dinners to curry. – and he wanted to share his culinary wisdom with the rest of the city.
Last year’s event saw everything from bangers and mash-filled Yorkies to an Egyptian street food company serving the very best tastes of Egypt inside a Yorkshire Pudding, with a whopping 10,000 people turning up to the inaugural event.
And this year is set to be even bigger and better.
Dedicated entirely to Yorkshire puddings, there’ll be a host of different Yorkshire pud delicacies to sample with a huge host of traders taking part at a brand new location.
Alongside the street food traders, there’ll also be local stalls selling Yorkshire-based produce – ranging from homemade moonshine to clothes and more.
Lately, we’ve seen all sorts of amazing Yorkshire pudding creations pop-up in the city: from the loaded fries Yorkshire puds at The Fleece in Farsley to Yorkshire pudding beer and giant loaf tin Yorkshires – so we’re really excited to see what traders bring to the festival this year.
In 2020, the festival was held at Kirkgate market but due to a need for more room after a sell-out 2020 event, it’s moved over to a beautiful new location at The Camp Hill Estate in Bedale.
Taking place from 14 – 15 August 2021, adult tickets start from £10.45 plus booking fee and can be purchased here.
