A huge seafood and wine festival is happening in Leeds next weekend and it simply looks too good to miss.

Taking place at Water Lane Boathouse, it’s being held in collaboration with the fire cooking maestros Ox Club Leeds and Chapel Allerton’s own Wayward Wines.

There’ll be a host of imaginative street food dishes coming out of the kitchen from Leeds’ Michelin recommended Ox Club chefs, and a delicious selection of natural wines courtesy of North Leeds’ favourite wine shop Wayward.

With free entry all day from 11 am and an open-door policy for our furry friends, it sounds like an absolute dreamy afternoon out on the tiles.

Mussels in white wine and butter sauce are definitely set to appear on the menu, cooked over hot coals to give them a smoky flavour that will really set the dish off.

The rest, however, remains a surprise – with further fishy street food dishes not set to be revealed until the day itself.

There’ll also be a DJ on the decks bringing the tunes throughout the day, making sure that the party atmosphere runs throughout the festival from start to finish.

A stunning space, Water Lane Boathouse is also unique in its commitment to accessibility. The venue is committed to “creating an inclusive and supportive space for all, where no forms of discrimination are tolerated” and lists all of its accessibility points on its website.

Access to the main bar space is step-free, however, the mezzanine area is up 16 steps and the lower bar area is 2 steps down. There is an accessible bathroom on the ground floor. The venue also has its own accessibility document which you can view here.

The Seafood and wine festival takes place at Water Lane Boathouse on Sunday 11 August from 11 am.
