Cult Mexican eatery Boojum opens this week in Leeds – and they’re giving away 300 free burritos

So excited.

The wait is finally over, Ireland’s favourite Mexican restaurant is officially coming to Leeds this week.

Ever since Boojum announced that they’d be opening their first UK mainland venue right here in Leeds, we simply couldn’t contain our excitement.

And now it’s even more official, as Boojum announce they’ll be opening their doors on Wednesday 10 April 2024 at 12pm, providing the people of Leeds with high-quality, fresh and unbelievably tasty Mexican grub.

But the fun doesn’t stop there, as you could get your first taste of Boojum for free as they’ll be giving away free burritos to the first 300 people through the door.

Now that is a lot of burritos.

The brand-new 45-seater Leeds location is situated in the Merrion Centre, and offers a vast menu with options to suit everyone.

Featuring customisable burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos, chips, and salsas that are all made fresh in store every day – you won’t finder fresher Mexican food anywhere else in the city.

“We have been blown away by the response to opening our first British site in Leeds and can’t wait to be part of the famous foodie scene. Whether it’s for an afterwork bite, casual date night or beers and burritos with friends, Boojum has you covered, and we can’t wait to open our doors on the 10th April.” said Head of Marketing, Paul McCullagh.

David Maxwell, CEO of Boojum said: “Selecting Leeds for our first mainland store is no coincidence. The city’s bustling student life and reputation as a foodie paradise make it the perfect stage for us. We’re not just serving food; we’re creating experiences and we’re excited to blend our Belfast roots with the dynamic spirit of Leeds.”
