Those with nut allergies look away, because a peanut butter Bert is on the way. Oof.
A lot of you will have seen the viral ‘Bertha’ cake by Leeds-born beloved sweet treat specialists Get Baked.
They recently opened another site in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, where queues literally formed round the block of hungry punters wanting to get their hands on the infamous sugary treats.
And now, they’re teaming up with cult favourite peanut butter brand ManiLife for a seriously nutty, limited edition slice of Bert.
Launching on Friday 1 August in Get Baked’s Leeds and Manchester stores and online until stocks last, Peanut Butter Bert is a baking masterpiece stacked with the same luxurious 8 tiers of dark chocolate cake and sandwiched with 8 rich layers of silky Colombian single-origin milk chocolate ganache.

We’ve got a tooth ache just thinking about it, but that won’t stop us.
Peanut Butter Bert will be laced with thick, crunchy and salty swirls of ManiLife and that’s not all – every slice will come as a bundle with ManiLife’s Cocoa Dusted Peanuts along with a heaped serving of Peanut Butter Fudge Sauce.
You can grab yourself a bundle for £22 both in store and online but you best be quick, as there’s only 10,000 bundles available of lovely Peanut Butter Bert.
ManiLife founder Stu Macdonald, said: “Great things often happen when you push things too far – Deep Roast is case in point; a batch of burned peanuts became the greatest peanut butter innovation in history. Some might say that Peanut Butter Bert is pushing things too far, and they’d probably be right. But they’d also be right if they said it was THE most deliciously indulgent, outrageous cake creation, ever made. I can’t wait. The masses are going to go absolutely mad for it.”
Get Baked founder Rich Myers, added: “This Peanut Butter Bert bundle is an unholy union of chocolate and peanuts in the best bloody way possible. We don’t mess with Bert unless it’s worth it, and ManiLife’s Deep Roast takes him to another level. Bolder and nuttier, he’s completely unhinged now and we’re all here for it.”
