There’s nothing quite like grabbing a pint in a cosy bar, watching the world go by as the water taxis speeding up and down the water.

The weather outside has got all of Leeds on the hunt for warm and inviting spaces that leave the frost at the door- and preferably supplies a range of seasonal food and drinks to warm up with.

Calls Landing has been long known for its flourishing drinks scene, and now SALT Calls Landing has brought a brand new addition- with some seriously tasty options that are perfect for the changing of the seasons.

Having just opened last month, the new bar is certainly one to check out. SALT has combined the best of its on-tap cocktails and beers to life with quick service, friendly staff and a wide range of unbelievable flavours that offer, as well as bringing in a huge new range of tequilas and foodie options too.

This is the ideal spot to unwind after a hard day’s graft in the city centre and as a Saturday night watering hole to bring the weekend to life. The combination of intimately lit interiors, comfy seats and huge selection of drinks means no matter what day of the week you’re in, you’ll feel right at home.

The food selection truly embodies the meaning of ‘winter warmers’. All lovingly made by The Pie Hole, expect copious amounts of thick gravy with pies, poured over delicious pies stuffed with classic fillings like peppered steak and ale; cheese and onion; chicken, bacon and mushroom; slow roast pork and cider or opt for the inventive slow cooked chicken curry, or veggie-friendly sweet potato, caramelised onion and goat’s cheese selection.

The pork pies also come highly recommended. Make your way through flavours like black pudding and apple; hog roast and chilli jam and ham to find your new favourite combo.

There’s also crispy turnovers with pork meatballs and tomatoes; potato hash, beans and cheddar; and the classics, but none-the-less exciting, cheddar and smoked bacon.

Served as a full meal with creamy mash and mushy peas, or as a standalone snack, foodie options here start from a fiver, making it the ideal spot to tuck into some grub without breaking the bank (and don’t we all need that right now).

Drinkwise you’re just as spoilt for choice.

We reckon there’s one of the largest tequila selections in town here.

Choose from imaginative cocktails and perfect serves bringing new life to the trendy spirit, including the oak-aged Patron Añejo, which combines notes of vanilla, raisin, honey, caramel and a smokiness that’s seriously moreish – and that’s just the beginning.

Check out the gin selection, as well as the renowned SALT ‘on-tap’ cocktails for some of the speediest service in town. We’re talking Passionfruit and Espresso Martinis, Rum Punch and (our favourite) the sweet Strawberry and Rhubarb Cosmos.

There’s also every ale and lager you’ve come to know and love from SALT brewery available too for those that prefer their long-standing favourites wherever they go.
