Top attraction offers FREE strawberry picking after heatwave triggers growth spurt
They're hosting a 'pick 'em clean' day
A top pick-your-own attraction in Yorkshire will be offering free strawberry picking today, thanks to the recent heatwave.
Farmer Copleys in Pontefract has been left with almost too many strawberries thanks to last week's scorching weather.
They said that the heatwave brought on 'a massive flush of fruit' which they're now worried could go to waste.
And so, the beloved farm will be opening the doors to its Strawberry Experience totally free of charge for one day only.
They say that the 'pick em clean day' will allow visitors to fill punnets and buckets to the brim, and you'll only pay for what you pick, with no entry fees.
As well as beautiful strawberries, you'll be able to pick their raspberries straight from the tunnels too.

"So for Monday 29th June only, 12pm-5pm, we’re opening the Strawberry Experience with FREE entry for a pick em clean day, meaning you’ll only pay for what you pick.
"No ticket fee, just come and fill a bucket with fresh strawberries or raspberries straight from the tunnels.
"It’s the perfect chance to stock up, enjoy the sunshine and make the most of the fruit while it’s at its best."
