Yorkshire Wildlife Park has announced the highly anticipated return of its Winter Illuminations event.
Prepare to be amazed this Christmas period as the Yorkshire Wildlife Park will be transformed into an astonishing glittering paradise of lights.
The beloved Winter Illuminations event is a fantastic way for families to celebrate the festive season, and is a huge hit every year with locals and visitors alike.
Consisting of beautiful twinkling lights and giant lanterns that will cover a whopping 2,400 metres, this year the trail promises to be ‘bigger and better’ than ever before and we absolutely cannot wait.
This year’s theme is ‘Space Odyssey’ and of course it promises to be out of this world.
The special after-dark experience is set to kick off on Friday 17 November, taking place every weekend until Sunday 14 January 2024.
Expect a 90-minute circular route packed full of giant glowing lanterns inspired by the park’s huge array of wild animals.
But not only that, you can also indulge in festive food and drink along the way to really get you in the spirit. We’re talking mulled wine, bratwurst, crepes and hot chocolates to keep you warm as you embark on the illuminated trail.
There will also be a festive tipi bar on-site as well as a Christmas market with over 50 stalls for you to browse, Victorian fair ground rides, live music and so much more.
