Playhive, a new world of indoor adventure for the whole family is opening at Wetherby’s Stockeld Park.
The new £3.5 million, all-weather play centre will feature four unique play zones for children to journey through and explore.
The brand new space is one of Europe’s largest indoor play centres and has a capacity for a whopping 2,000 visitors.
The areas are separated into Space, Aeronautical, Subaquatic and Jungle play zones – each boasting unique and state-of-the-art play structures.
In the centre of the play dome, a 33-foot tower stands connecting the four adventure zones via bridges. It is also a play centre in itself with an attached toddler zone and gigantic slides taking you all the way down to the bottom.
The impressive, donut shaped building includes a stretch of play equipment measuring the width of a football pitch and a pizzeria for the whole family to dine in after an exhausting day of fun.
It is the newest creation from Wetherby’s Stockeld park and is due to open Saturday, 23 July 2022. The exciting new project will create 50 new jobs at the park.
The major attraction is the brainchild of Peter and Susie Grant, the owners of Stockeld Park. Peter Grant told the Yorkshire Evening Post, “We wanted to move away from the traditional soft play scene whilst also encouraging play and imagination in the kids that attend Stockeld Park each year. One of the most incredible parts of the Playhive is that it allows for all occasion play – ideal for those rainy Yorkshire days!”.
Tickets to the Playhive and Adventure park are on sale now and cost £19.50.
