After a year out of the industry, Michael O’Hare is returning with a brand-new project.
If you were lucky enough to dine at The Man Behind The Curtain, then you’ll know how much of a big deal this is.
The incredibly edgy fine dining restaurant opened its doors back in 2014 and held a coveted Michelin star until it closed in 2023.
O’Hare re-opened the underground restaurant on Vicar Lane under the new name ‘Psycho Sandbar’, which closed just seven months after opening.
After taking a year off, chef O’Hare has announced he’ll be opening a new intimate restaurant in the affluent village of Boston Spa.
Announcing the news to Instagram, the post revealed the new project would be called ‘In Lamentation’ and would feature a new restaurant with a small team and a big vision.
Currently looking for staff, Michael said: “I’m looking for staff for my new restaurant opening early next year. Super intimate 16 covers. 4 services a week. Boston spa, Leeds. Send me an email with your details and we can chat.”
So if you’re a budding chef and you’re looking to work with a Michelin starred chef, then this is your chance.
One thing’s for sure, whatever Michael O’hare touches turns to gold so we’ve no doubt that this new project will blow us away.
We’ll keep you updated with everything once we know more.
