A Yorkshire company is selling cans of ‘dog beer biscuits’ this Christmas

Christmas is a time for all to be in good spirits – your canine companion included.

A business in Yorkshire is selling special dog beer biscuits, meaning your dog can now join you for a Christmas day pint.

Whilst you’re tucking into your Christmas dinner and case of lager, there’s no longer a need to look away from your dog’s longing eyes, as they can now join you for a pint or two (well, sort of).

You can now buy ‘beer biscuits’ for your dog to enjoy, made with leftover spent grain from Brewdog’s best-selling Punk IPA.

The biscuits contain no hops or alcohol, so they’re perfectly safe for your dog to eat, plus they’re full of nutrition.

So don’t worry if you’ve forgotten to pick up a present for the four-legged friends in your life, here’s a last minute lifeline.

According to Brewski, the beer biscuits are ‘100% natural, low fat tasty treats [that] have absolutely no additives or nasties’ in the recipe.’

There are two versions of Brewski’s Beer Biscuits, both the result of collaborations with Brewdog.

One is their original Punk IPA and the other is a ‘Hoppy Xmas’ version, both available in Yorkshire and beyond in Brewdog can packaging, so your pup really feels like they’re joining in on the party.

The dog biscuits are made in Ripon, but Brewski’s Beer Biscuits are also stocked further afield by the likes of Waitrose & Partners as well as in the majority of Brewdog bars and hotels.

You’ll also find them available at The Doggy Deli in Beverley, Yorkshire.

If you’re still looking for a dog-friendly Christmas present, you still have the option to order online or collect in person, and still support a whole chain of independent Yorkshire businesses in the run-up to Christmas Day.

Brewdog is their first collaboration, but one that has already proven popular with customers across the UK so far.

To truly pamper your pup, you could also treat them to a space on the sofa and time to watch their very own TV shows over the festive period.

Altered colours, audio frequencies and camera alignment have all been changed to suit the sensory needs of canines on DogTV, a new dog-friendly TV channel that launched in the UK last month.

After all, isn’t the whole point of the Christmas period to watch mindless TV and eat and drink to your heart’s content?
