Bundobust launches three exclusive new beers – including a coriander lager

Leeds’ Indian street food restaurant Bundobust has spent the past eight months quietly brewing its own range of beers – and now they’re about to be revealed to punters for the first time.

The restaurant’s new brewery is housed in a site on Manchester’s Oxford Road, with construction first starting in 2019.

Initial plans were for the venue to house a brewhouse and restaurant, but these have been delayed by the pandemic.

On the bright side, though, it’s given their new brewmaster plenty of time to play around with the new equipment and get to work making some tasty, bespoke beers to complement the menu.

These will be unveiled on Thursday 24 June from 12pm at their restaurants in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.

New drinks set to be revealed include the 5 percent Chaitro beer – a smooth and creamy Porter with roast malts, chai masala and fresh ginger.

Then, there’s the Peela – an easy-drinking 4 per cent hazy pale ale with tropical fruit flavours.

Last but not least, there’s an adventurous coriander lager, called the Dhania Pilsner, available at 4.8 per cent.

The three beers will be made available to the public from tomorrow, with walk-ups very welcome.
