Get Baked and Silver’s Deli to launch major sandwich collab – and they’re giving away 500 FREE hoagies to celebrate

Unreal.

Two of Leeds’ best independents are collaborating on some very special sandwiches.

In a collaboration more powerful than Rihanna and Eminem, Get Baked and Silver’s Deli are joining forces to create some very special sandwiches.

It’s safe to say that Get Baked is basically a viral sensation, famed for their incredible Bertha cake and most recently their Calpol-flavoured cookies.

A few months ago they opened their newest bakery in Manchester, but their Headingley site is the OG and for that reason us Leeds lot are about to be treated to their newest sandwich menu first. Take that Manchester.

But it’s not just any sandwich menu, Get Baked has chosen Silver’s Deli to partner up with and we’re absolutely buzzing.

Silver’s over in Bramley hasn’t been around for long, but they’ve made a name for themselves as the best sandwiches in Leeds and it’s easy to see why.

Homemade bread stacked with the very best ingredients, we’re particularly fond of their breakfast sandwich featuring cheesy eggs stuffed inside a buttery, glistening brioche bun.

As of tomorrow, Saturday 19 July, you’ll be able to get your Silver’s fix at Get Baked in Headingley.

And if you head down on launch day, you might be able to bag yourself a free one as they’ll be giving away a free hoagie to the first 500 customers.

Announcing the news to Instagram, Get Baked said: “The launch of Silver’s x GB Headingley is fast approaching. Eight sensational sandwiches, with seasonal rotations to keep things exciting for all involved. Mainly you. But also me, really.

“Not been this excited about a hoagie since Subway opened in Leeds when I was a little boy. I remember going with my mum and everything felt so American. Mental to think how good Subway was when it first opened over here — just look at it now, absolute bloody hell hole.”

They’ll be opening up in Manchester soon, but for now it’s Leeds who gets to bask in the carb-fuelled glory.

So get down there from 12pm tomorrow to get a free sarnie, but don’t mess about as we see queues on the horizon.
