The American rapper also announced his new album this morning.
Eminem is one of those rappers that’s truly stood the test of time, with generations of fans spanning across decades – and the globe.
And that includes plenty of us here in Yorkshire (after all, ‘there’s a Slim Shady in all of us’).
The Lose Yourself singer has announced that he wants to hear from the fans that have come together and listened to Eminem’s tracks over the years.
In a recent Instagram post, Eminem said: “Looking for Stans for a documentary produced by Eminem & Shady Films. To share your story, please answer the questions here.”
There’s 26 questions to answer in total, and includes a section that wants to know about why you consider yourself a super-fan or Stan.
The term ‘Stan’ combines ‘stalker’ and ‘fan’ and was popularised in the early 00s following Eminem’s track Stan, about a fan that becomes obsessed with the rapper.
Regardless of what type of fan you call yourself, Eminem wants to hear from you.
Here’s just a few of the rigorous questions that are separating the fans from the stans:
- When/how did you first hear Eminem?
- Would you consider yourself a “Stan”? Why / why not?
- Do you collect Eminem merch, make Eminem artwork, write fan fiction, etc.? If so, please explain in detail.
- Have you ever been to Detroit? If so, when, why, and where did you go?
- Which song first hit you on a deep personal level?
- Are there any parts of Eminem’s personal story that you relate to?
- Has Eminem or his music helped you through any difficult times?
- What are some things in your life that you’ve accomplished thanks to Eminem/his music?
- Have you ever met Eminem? If so, where/when? What was the interaction like? Do you have photos/video?
- Do you remember when Eminem took a break from touring/releasing albums circa 2005? If so, how did that impact you?
- How often do you listen to Eminem’s music? Look at his social accounts? Google for news about him?
- If you could tell Eminem anything, what would it be?
You can find all the details and stick your application in here.
The news comes just before the announcement this morning’s new album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace)’ announcement from the American rapper.
We can’t help but wonder if the two are related?
