Doh’hut launches new bodega-style sandwich pop-up

Served on homemade sub milk rolls which are prepared fresh in house on Friday mornings, there are just two options – meat or veggie

Leeds’ favourite donut and coffee shop has been bringing us all the goods lately. First, they had us drooling with Well Oiled’s Detroit pizza, now they’re venturing into hoagie territory with a new bodega-style sandwich pop-up.

Following a successful launch last week, the team is bringing us ultimate sandwich goals again this Friday – this time with pre-orders built-in to make sure everyone who wants one can get their hands on one.

Inspired by Canadian chef and Munchies personality Matty Matheson, these come served on homemade sub milk rolls, which are baked fresh in-house on Friday mornings.

There are just two options – meat or veggie.

‘The Bodega'” fennel salami, mortadella, provolone, ham, iceberg, onion vinaigrette, oregano, parsley

The meat choice, or ‘the bodega’, comes stuffed with Lishman’s of Ilkley’s award-winning ham and fennel salami, mortadella ham and sharp provolone cheese, then finished with iceberg lettuce and an onion vinaigrette salad, oregano and parsley.

The veggie option, on the other hand, is filled with Italian-imported burrata, sliced dutch vine tomato, sliced courgette and a slather of basil pesto.

Available on Fridays only from 11.30am, the hoagies only launched last week but have become really popular already.

Posting on their Instagram, Doh’hut said “We sold out everything we made so quickly last week, so we will be doing pre-orders to ensure everyone who wants one gets one. Obviously, we can only make so many so this wlil be capped!

“Pre-orders accepted form Wednesday. Just message us for meat or veggie.”
