Giant souffle pancake cafe reveals opening date in Leeds City Centre

Now these are some seriously wobbly pancakes.

The wobbly pancakes have become something of a viral sensation over the last year or so.

Fluffy Fluffy is opening in Leeds – and if you’ve spotted the cloud-like pancake stacks online, you’ll know exactly how excited we are for this.

These Japanese souffle pancakes are unlike anything else you’ll have seen in Leeds.

They’re at least twice the size of your classic pancakes, light and airy for that soufle-style texture.

Apparently the secret behind each pancake is egg whites whipped to soft peaks before being cooked at a low temperature – and soon we’ll be able to get a taste for ourselves.

Fluffy Fluffy plans to open outside The Light on The Headrow this autumn, with a new cafe. Seating up to 44 guests, this will all come together under an ‘open kitchen’ style where guests can watch their pancakes covered in the lkes of Nutella, Biscoff or Blueberry toppings.

Plus there’s classic dessert-style flavours like Tiramisu and Creme Brûlée too.

And if that’s not enough to get you through the door, maybe the temptation of drip coffee and souffle cheesecakes will.

Hussein Umar, UK Development Lead at Fluffy Fluffy UK, commented:

“We can’t wait to bring our Fluffy Fluffy pancakes to Leeds – this will be our fourth site in the UK and we can’t think of a better city to make our home as we kick off our journey in Yorkshire. We’re delighted to have secured such a prestigious spot on The Headrow right in the heart of the city, and are looking forward to bringing the Fluffy Fluffy fun to the city. We have lots of new products and innovations in the pipeline too so watch this space for updates!”
