The exciting new restaurant will open in the former Pret A Manger site on Bond Street later this year.
Maki & Ramen is an award-winning Japanese restaurant that opened its first site in Edinburgh back in 2015.
Founded by chef Teddy Lee who studied at a sushi academy in Tokyo, the aim was to introduce high-quality ramen and sushi to local communities.
And he did exactly that, the brand found booming success across Edinburgh and now have five locations in the city as well as two in Glasgow.
The chain was awarded Japanese Restaurant of the year by the Scottish Asian Awards
and the 2nd Annual SPICE Awards.
Maki & Ramen expanded to England with a Manchester site earlier this year and have recently announced they will be venturing into Leeds city centre.
They specialise in delicious, homemade ramen which feature an 8-hour slow cooked broth and handmade noodles from their factory in Edinburgh.
Their extensive menu also features platters of fresh sushi, Katsu curry, bao buns, stir-fried noodle dishes and a range of popular Japanese side dishes such as gyoza, takoyaki and edamame.
They also serve a range of cocktails, beers, wine and soft drinks for diners to enjoy alongside their food. The interior of other branches is light and airy, with relaxed booth seating and cherry blossom branches cascading from the ceiling.
Although there is no official opening date yet announced, Maki & Ramen Leeds will be taking over the former Pret A Manger site on Bond Street toward the end of the year, and we think it will be a fantastic addition to the city’s flourishing food scene.
