It’s the first of what is hoped to be many events.
As we approach Men’s Health Week in June, we’re turning our heads to all of the different events and wellness activities that are taking place this year.
This annual week is organised by the Men’s Health Forum and ‘aims to raise awareness of preventable health problems that disproportionately affect men and encourage them to gain the courage to tackle their issues’.
Now in its thirtieth year, the focus of the national week now underlies the importance of physical and mental health, and for those looking for a way to fully embrace the week and gain a new understanding of ‘unlocking your best self’, Rewired is a day-long event that brings together industry specialists and likeminded individuals for a day to remember.
The first Rewired event will be held at Moda, New York Square and will be taking place on Thursday 13 June 2024 to bring together men that ‘want to be the best version of themselves in all areas of life’.
The event plans to help attendees to face your vulnerabilities, increase self-awareness; build resilience; reduce your stress and burnout; connect with similar-minded men; build strategies for better mental wellbeing and learn to thrive and reach your full potential.
Begin your morning with a sound bath; Chi Gong or Tai Chi and wake up breakfast workshop: a sure way to relax, meet your fellow attendees and bring your attention to the present moment.
The morning consists of a panel discussion from industry leaders, including Luke Ambler from Andy’s Man Club, ex Professional footballer Brian Dean, as well as Lee J walker from The Business Desk and consultant psychiatrist Rob Baskind, before tackling the masterclass workshop ‘the ball’ and ‘what’s next’.
Lunch will be organised by local food-waste-optimisation company Surplus to Purpose, a Leeds-based enterprise that intercepts surplus food from the industry and creates exciting meals whilst reducing waste and its environmental impact.
The afternoon is a chance to put your new skills into practice with a networking exercise, followed by a panel discussion that will see ambassadors and panelists discuss ‘learning, leading and reaching toward your personal summit’.
The day will end after another Q&A session and masterclass workshop around 4pm.
Tickets are available from the Rewired Events website and priced at £250 per person, unless you purchase before Monday 13 May 2024, when you can grab £50 off each ticket as part of an early bird sale.
