Green Room set to open new magical Winter Garden this Friday

Featuring a new winter-inspired food and drink menu.

Award-winning independent bar and restaurant, Green Room, will be bringing the German Christmas Market spirit to Leeds with their new Winter Garden.

After an impressive opening summer which saw Green Room soon became the place to be in Leeds city centre, they are now unveiling their brand new Winter Garden.

Opening this Friday 21 October 2022, the launch coincides with a new expanded winter-inspired menu which is sure to get guests feeling festive over the next few months.

Designed to fill the gap left by the cancellation of the Leeds German market, the beloved rooftop has been completely transformed into a cosy winter hideaway.

Think roaring fire pits, state of the art heat lamps covering the entire decking and Yorkshire wool blankets for guests to snuggle into and get comfy.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a limited-edition German-style pilsner, brewed exclusively by Kirkstall Brewery and served in traditional steins so you can live out your Oktoberfest fantasy.

Green Room is known for it’s fantastic vegan food selection, and their new winter menu most certainly does not disappoint. It includes a Bratwurst Vegan-Dog featuring a
succulent Moving Mountains sausage which is topped with sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup, crispy onions, and pickles, whilst the Currywurst Vegan-Dog is served with fries, pickled cabbage, coriander, onions, and chilli.

The daytime menu, served from 10 am – 3 pm, has also been updated with meat-based versions of some of Green Room’s bestselling dishes. Highlights include the Mexican Steak Bowl with a juicy flat iron steak and a delicious Chicken and Avocado Caesar Salad.

The sweet toothed fiends can indulge on the Biscoff or Black Forest fluffy pancake stacks alongside a warming hot chocolate or mulled wine.

Speaking of the Winter Garden launch, Director Will Habergham said: ‘’We couldn’t have really asked for a better summer 2022 – not only did we get to enjoy our
fair share of sunshine, but the people of Leeds really took to our concept, and we’ve had an exceptionally busy few month.

“I’m confident our regulars will love what we’ve done with the Winter Garden, especially those that have been pining for the return of the beloved Christmas markets. Our terrace has been transformed into a cosy space that’s perfect for enjoying a few steins, a Bratwurst and some great entertainment with friends and colleagues.

‘’We’ll also continue to serve up favourites from our Gron menu and have even added some incredible meat-based dishes to ensure nobody is left out. Summer will be a tough act to follow, but I’ve got a feeling that we’re going to have a winter to remember.’’
