Police issue urgent appeal to help find local missing man, Lee Griffin

His phone has been tracked out of the city.

West Yorkshire Police (WYP) are appealing for information about a local missing man, Lee Griffin, who was reported as having disappeared this week.

Griffin, who is based in Leeds, was last seen in the city centre at around 1:30pm on Wednesday, 7 May.

His last known location was Miles & Co, the coffee shop he owns in Kirkgate.

Lee is described as being about six feet two inches tall and of slim build; he was last seen wearing a blue waterproof coat, as well as a navy blue jumper with frayed elbows and a white t-shirt underneath.

He was also wearing skinny dark jeans, blue slip-on trainers and was carrying a green backpack at the time he went missing.

As WYP states in the appeal: “There are significant concerns for his welfare and officers are making enquiries to locate him.”

Further reports have confirmed that his phone was tracked to New Pudsey Station around 2pm that same day; moreover, his bank card was active as early as 6:45am this morning (Thurs, 8 May).

His most recent transaction took place in Manchester, so people in both cities and the surrounding areas are being urged to keep an eye out.
