A Leeds Japanese restaurant is marking this year’s Yorkshire Day with a limited-edition menu.
If you’ve ever thought to yourself ‘wow I would really like my ramen to taste like a Sunday roast’, then today is your lucky day.
And that’s because Maki & Ramen are bringing the people of Leeds exactly that – a steaming hot bowl of Sunday Roast Ramen.
Featuring a rich chicken gravy broth, sous vide chicken, crispy roast potatoes, carrots and even a good old Yorkshire pudding for dipping.

Not only that, but there’s an entire Yorkshire Day menu to go alongside it.
There’s an Iced Yorkshire Tea Matcha, a crispy beef sushi butty served with a Henderson’s relish dip and a Builder’s Creme Brew-lay to tuck into made using a luxurious Yorkshire Tea custard.
If that’s not enough, there’s also a fish and chips-inspired noodle dish served with a vinegar mayo and mushy edamame on the side.
The menu is available from Yorkshire Day, Friday 1 August until Sunday 31 August.

Sophie Wang, Executive Chef at Maki & Ramen, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to bring our completely unique Yorkshire Day menu to Leeds. This fusion is all about celebrating the best of both worlds – combining the comforting, hearty flavours of Yorkshire with the delicate, fresh tastes of Japanese cuisine.
“It’s our way of paying tribute to this incredible city and its rich food heritage, while offering something exciting and new for locals and visitors alike. We hope every dish makes people feel proud, inspired, and a little bit adventurous!”
