You don't need to tell us twice that Leeds has some of the best places to live in the UK.
The Sunday Times has kept Leeds in it's official "best places to live" list, with nearby spa town of Ilkley taking the top spot in 2022 (and has had a spot on the list for the past 11 years).
So it's safe to say we're not short of highly-regarded places to eat, shop and live.
But now, the Sunday Telegraph has added Boston Spa to this list of swoon-worthy suburbs, as one of "England's most desirable – and exclusive – areas to live" in.
The feature explored a wealth of popular destinations across the country, but when it came to highlighting the 'Yorkshire Corridor', the LS23 village was the first one the list as 'one of the most "desirable" villages, well loved for its Georgian architecture".
The article specifically highlights the 'outstanding' education at Boston Spa Academy and 'good' local primary school with 'plenty of places to eat and drink, and there's a library and a tennis club' - ticking all the boxes for families looking for a spot to live outside of Leeds city centre.
Naturally, for the football fans, Leeds United has to be name dropped here, and the author wastes no time in letting its readers know that Luke Ayling lives in the area.
The article goes on to cover the bredth of "Ilkley, at the bottom tip of the Nidderdale AONB (part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park) to York, via Harrogate and Wetherby, is the most affordable corridor in the top 10", citing Tadcaster for its three breweries (Samuel Smith's, John Smith's and Coors) and three 'good' primary schools, and community swimming pool, as well as the nearby of city York for having 'the lowest house prices of the main towns and villages along the corridor' and 'arguably more charm' than nearby the spa town of Harrogate.
