Affordable homeware brand Sostrene Grene has finally announced a launch date for its first Leeds store.
The Danish brand, famed for its trinkets, homewares, and craft supplies, announced it was coming to our city for the first time last month.
Huge hoardings have already been placed around the future Sostrene Grene site in Trinity Leeds.
And now it’s finally confirmed how much longer we’ll have to wait until we can start spending all our money inside – thankfully, it’s not too long.
Sostrene Grene will open in Leeds on Friday 24 January, at 9.59am.
The brand is often labelled a ‘mini Ikea’, thanks to two things – one that it sells just about everything you can think of for your home, the other that shoppers are taken on a one-way maze through the departments.
But unlike Ikea, Sostrene Grene has subdued lighting, plays classical music, and has creative and whimsical displays that make for a much more enjoyable shopping experience.
In the Scandinavian-inspired shop you’ll find everything from kitchen essentials and soft furnishings to Christmas decorations and craft supplies.
It’s also very reasonably priced too, with candles on offer for under a quid and picture frames for as little as a fiver.
Søstrene Grene currently has over 300+ stores in 16 different countries and is currently seeing a major expansion across the whole of the UK.
It will open in Trinity Leeds on 24 January 2025.
