Four Hour Bottomless Afternoon Tea
Friday 3 June 2022, 11.30am - 3.30pm | Royal Armouries, Leeds Dock

Royal Armouries is hosting the longest bottomless we've ever seen. A whopping four-hour long bottomless experience is available over the four-day weekend in true royal style. Expect an afternoon tea inside one of Leeds' most historic centres with live jazz music and food and drink supplied by Leeds' own French tea room, Le Chalet.
Tickets cost from £55 per person in attendance, and covers the entire four hour experience.

From the creators of the 12 inch ‘Massive C*ck’ burger comes afternoon tea in true dirty bird style at Merrion Street’s favourite fried chicken restaurant and bar. Expect three layers of crunchy, sweet, savoury and all round delicious servings, starting with a huge bowl of fries with buttermilk fried chicken and crispy smoked bacon.
If that wasn’t enough, sweet treats come in the shape of Kinder Bueno cookie pie and dulce de leche sea salted brownies with marshmallows, fresh strawberries and oozing with chocolate sauce laden over the desserts.
Each afternoon tea ticketcomes with a cocktail of your choice before watching in awe of a fabulous Royal Variety spin-off performance set to shake the whole house down.
Yard & Coop have said: “Dedecked and bejewelled in their finest Crown Jewels, they gonna sashay, shantay, fried chicken on the runway. Regal realness” is to be expected, and for a more than reasonable price of £25, this exciting event is set to sell out quickly.

Having been highly recommended by the Sunday Times, we’re convinced that Mans Market has received nothing but glowing reviews since its opening, but it’s their Afternoon Chi concept that’s got us talking non-stop about dim sum in 2022. Now bringing their unique concept to the Jubilee weekend, the popular restaurant will host a special Jubilee weekend afternoon tea, aptly named ‘Jubi-Chi’.
Based on the traditional afternoon tea, Mans Market have replaced those boring finger sandwiches and petit fours with all your favourite dishes to create the ultimate afternoon experience- with plenty of booze included.
Think handfuls of Chicken Gyoza, Pork War Tip Dumplings, Mushroom Corn and vegan-friendly Bamboo Dumplings, each swirled and dunked into sweet chilli or soy sauce before making your way onto vegan spring rolls and snack on Lotus Crisps with chilli and spring onions. This really is the epitome of a unique afternoon tea, perfect for all Chinese food connoisseurs and those that love a bit of dim sum after a few drinks with respective interest.

Across a whopping five days, Chow Down will be hosting a Jubilee extravaganza like no other. Expect Jubilee-themed cocktails, street food from Parmogeddon, Cleopatra’s Kitchen and Good Boy Bodega whilst listening to tunes from some of Chow Down’s favourite performers and brand-new musicians alike.
Performing on the Wednesday at a free-to-attend evening, Ninety Nine will take the stage whilst The List Festival will takeover the main stage on Thursday 2 June with Apricot Ballroom, James Holroyd, J Cub, Tom PBR Streetgang and Tracks Magazine.

Proudly going over the top with Great British decor with “all the British paraphernalia you could wish for and a cracking Best of British soundtrack”, Banyan is hosting a Jubilee bottomless that even royalty couldn’t pass up.
Loyal Banyan fans will be familiar with the drink options of Prosecco, Bloody Mary’s (only available on the brunch menu) Aperol Spritz, Poached Pear Spritz, Coors and Garibaldis but if that wasn’t enough choice already, both new menus now feature two new alcoholic additions. The Apricot and Grapefruit Fizz and the Strawberry Spritz are new, summery cocktails that will be absolutely perfect for the warmer weather.
The summer menu also boasts Korean Fried Chicken Burgers, or there’s the new Onion Bhaji wrap which is sure to fill you up (and it’s vegan). The upgrades still include old favourites like the Alpine Chicken Schnitzel and the Steak Frites, so no matter how hungry you are, or what you’re fancying, you’re sure to find a dish that tastes amazing and lines your stomach.

From Thursday 2 June – Sunday 5 June 2022, some of the city’s best nightlife destinations like Call Lane, Greek Street and Merrion Street. Joining Lower Briggate, New Briggate and the newly opened Cookridge Street, the chosen street party destinations will offer the best of British summertime events like BBQs, street food trucks and live music over the celebratory weekend
Best of all- the street parties will be free to attend around the city and there’s no pre-booking required. Simply turn up and join Loiners in their masses at the four-day long celebrations.
As we approach St. Patrick’s day it’s important we talk about the famous Irish stout loved by people all over the world.
There are so many pubs in and around Leeds that provide a lovely cold pint of Guinness, and I’m sure we could keep updating this list forever but here are some of our favourites.
But what makes a good pint of Guinness? There are five crucial stages to achieving the perfect pint of Guinness. First of all, you need to use a clean, cool branded glass- this is essential to get you off to a good start, a warm dirty glass is just a disaster waiting to happen.
Next, pour the first part of your two-part pour at a 45-degree angle until it’s 3/4 full. Now you need to be patient, and allow the drink time to settle. Top up by pushing the handle away from you, leaving a 15-21mm dome-like head. Again, let your drink settle and admire your perfect pint of Guinness.
Templar Hotel

This spot is a bit of Leeds legend, with the original 1927 wood panelling, booths, stained glass and bar still holding out it’s completely steeped in history. On top of all that, it’s a fantastic spot to grab a quiet pint and especially a pint of Guinness.

Whitelock’s Ale House

Whitelock’s is the oldest pub in Leeds, founded all the way back in 1715, their popularity in Leeds has never faltered. With a lovely cosy atmosphere during the colder months and sun trap outside seating to spend the summer days - Whitelock’s will always be near the top of our list when recommending pubs around our great city. They’re the only pub in all of Leeds to feature on Guinness' very own Harp Guide - so you know it must be good.

Brewery Wharf Tavern

Relatively new to the Leeds pub scene, the Brewery Wharf Tavern is really going to come into its own during summer. Overlooking the canal on Leeds Dock, we can't think of a more scenic place to sink a few pints of the black stuff.

The Highland Laddie
Voted the Best Pub in Britain of 2025 by The Good Food Guide, everything The Highland Laddie touches turns to gold and that includes the Guinness. Make sure you grab a couple of bar oysters to go with it, because doesn't that just sound like a match made in heaven?

Oporto

This Irish pub on Call Lane is an absolute classic. Whether you're stopping here for an after-work pint in the sunshine or stumbling in at 3am, a pint of Guinness here is always a good idea.

The Adelphi
An abundance of late Victorian architecture, The Adelphi is the perfect setting for a casual yet distinctly memorable drinking and eating experience. Whether you’re looking for a lazy lunch or family dinner, The Adelphi offers tempting and flavoursome food, an explorative drinks menu and an authentic, homely atmosphere to suit all occasions.

O’Neill’s
This friendly Irish pub in Leeds is just across the road from the train station and they are never short of Guinness - obviously. The atmosphere is great, just what you would expect from an Irish bar. If you're looking for a spot to celebrate St Paddy's day this year, you can't wrong giving O'neill's a go.

Nation of Shopkeepers
Not only a great spot in Leeds to grab a Sunday roast, Nation of Shopkeepers also pulls a lovely pint of Guinness. There's plenty of reasons to spend a full day here with the choice of the open courtyard or the cosy booths inside, as well as delicious burgers and fried chicken to accompany your pint.

The Brunswick

A firm favourite amongst Leeds locals, The Brunswick, has 9 keg lines, 6 cask lines, and over 50 beers in the fridges, it is most definitely a beer lover’s heaven. So of course, they serve a very good pint of Guinness.
Alongside this, their food is all home cooked and made with the freshest ingredients. They also cater for vegans and vegetarians so everyone is made to feel welcome at this cosy, neighbourhood pub.

The Duck and Drake

This historic pub on Kirkgate is known for its banging live music, buzzing beer garden and of course, cracking pints of Guinness. This is a spot you'll want to visit when the sun comes out.

Eats
A brand-new frozen yoghurt bar is set to open in Leeds this spring
Clementine Hall
The frozen yoghurt craze is on its way to Leeds as Kefiyo is set to open in Headingley very soon.
It's a phenomenon that has caught the attention of the TikTok girlies, with frozen yoghurt bars popping up in Manchester and going viral online.
The ice cold sweet treat is supposedly 'healthy' and with a slogan of 'eat Clean. feel Light. live Better.' - this new spot in Leeds seems to be going down that route too.m
Kefiyo will be opening in the old Sixes site on Ash Road in Headingley, and although we don't have a confirmed opening date we've got a feeling they'll be 'scooping' very soon.
The space is already sporting a super cute pastel green and pink exterior, and it's exactly matching the aesthetic that you'd expect with froyo.
Kefiyo will offer a range of frozen yoghurt flavours with a whole bunch of toppings for you to customise to your tastebuds, as well as fresh acai bowls.
Situated slap bang in the centre of Headingley, we've got a feeling it'll be very busy with students on their way to their morning lecture or at night for those looking for a sweet treat that doesn't feel too naughty.
