The festival itself was only announced a few days ago, but we’ve already got our first headliner.
And it’s none other than Lewis Capaldi.
The Scottish singer-songwriter returned to the spotlight a few months ago with a tour of the UK, having rose to fame with his 2019 debut album ‘Divinely Inspired To A Hellish Extent’.
His performance at Roundhay Festival will coincide with a performance at BST Hyde Park who are the same organisers of the new festival heading to our legendary park.
The brand-new Roundhay Festival will debut in June 2026 and the high profile organisers, AEG Presents, promise to bring premium festival experiences and world-class performances to the city.
Launched in collaboration with Leeds City Council, Roundhay Festival will bring benefits to the local area by employing local suppliers, staff and boost spending on accommodation, food and entertainment.
Jim King, CEO of AEG Presents UK and European Festivals: “We’re proud to announce Lewis Capaldi as the first ever Roundhay Festival headliner in 2026, a true milestone moment.
“His heartfelt, powerful voice makes him the perfect artist to launch this new chapter, and his much-awaited comeback will be unforgettable.”

He spoke about the Festival: “As with all our events, we are committed to delivering the very best in every aspect, from welcoming some of the greatest artists in the world, to creating an unforgettable fan experience, and upholding industry-leading sustainability standards.
“We are determined to bring value to the park, the city, and the wider region. By working closely with local people and businesses, we aim to create a festival that everyone in Leeds can be proud of.”
Lewis Capaldi will be headlining Roundhay Festival on Saturday 4 July 2026. Tickets go on sale this Friday 19 September at 9am.
Welcome back Lewis, we can’t wait to see you.
